What we do

Five things, all done by our own crew. We do not do flat commercial roofs, siding, or windows, and we will tell you who does.

• Shingle roof replacement

  Full tear-off to the deck, new synthetic underlayment, and ice and water shield six feet up from every eave and in every valley, which is more than the Schaumburg code minimum. Owens Corning Duration or GAF Timberline HDZ, your pick. A typical ranch or split-level is stripped and shingled in one day.

• Roof repair

  Missing tabs after a wind night, cracked pipe boots, chimney flashing that was caulked instead of stepped. If the fix is under $600 and you say yes on the phone, Mike does it on the inspection visit with materials off the truck.

• Seamless gutters and guards

  5 inch and 6 inch aluminum, .032 gauge, run off the machine in your driveway so there is no seam to leak. Hidden hangers every 24 inches, not spikes. Guards are optional; we will show you the two styles we carry and tell you which one your oak trees need.

• Skylights

  Velux deck-mounted units, fixed or venting. We replace them during a reroof or on their own, and every one gets a new flashing kit. An old skylight on a new roof is the leak we get called about most, so we do not reuse them.

• Attic ventilation

  Ridge vent with real soffit intake, baffles where the insulation has drifted over the eaves. We measure intake against exhaust before quoting, because a ridge vent with no intake just pulls air from your house.
